Our people
ABP has a great team of well-trained, highly skilled people dedicated to delivering excellence for our customers.
We are committed to investing in people to keep them safe, to helping them fulfil their ambitions and to recruiting the right people by offering rewarding and exciting career opportunities.
The ABP Academy provides training and development support for all ABP colleagues, including 60 apprentices. ABP offers a wide range of apprenticeship opportunities, including our award-winning marine apprenticeship scheme. In 2019, ABP also launched its new Graduate Training Programme.
Reaching out to local communities and young people is an important part of our recruitment activity. Across our ports, ABP visits local schools and colleges to promote the wide spectrum of careers available in ABP, and the wider maritime sector, ranging from engineering and marine pilotage, to environmental management, law and finance.
